conduit

comprehending that living is no more than conduit

a fly doesn't fly but lingers

the size of time is then similar

to the size of life

and so it lingers

and so it prays in motion

soft vomit and glucose

life in motion

living in conduits

expropriated aqueducts

and life comprehends no more than conduit

when brittle carapace brittles

and shines upon rupture

protection means little more than pacing

and narrow pipes narrate sights

expanding like plights of iron

like how beings unlike us

and like us

supplicated above and to each other

in the land of Paris and others

they have surely all been punished

they surely have had to see it coming

no one donned the armor like he did

when penetrating the gaze

of warriors inflamed

the city has been in flames

the dame has been taken elsewhere

temple dames have prayed elsewhere

poise triumphant over sheer circumstance

standstill due to sheer circumstance

and dues paid to conduit
